Just Stop
I am so over fear. It isn’t over me though. Yesterday was a weird day where it seemed I was being pulled in multiple directions. I felt my breath shortening and my chest tightening. It was so hard to just stop, breathe deeply and gather my thoughts.
Once I slowed down, I recognized what my obstacle was. Fear. Fear of imperfection in this situation.
I have learned over the years that fear is a huge contributor to the obstacles I face. When looking closely, most obstacles and uncomfortable feelings can link back to fear. Can you relate? I thought so. Finding a solution is easier said than done, based on my experience. That is why I turn to others and try what has worked for them when they have had similar experiences.
Try this …stop, find a quiet place and close your eyes. Take three deep slow breaths and hold for a few seconds before exhaling. Have you heard of this technique before? Well, it is safe to say that when you hear a technique over and over, you may as well give it a try. Obviously it is working for others. You won’t know if it works for you until you give it a try. Be open to change, after all nothing changes if nothing changes. Be the change you desire.
